The hotel is my favourite in the Lake District, It’s in the middle of Ambelside with access to great walks, rides, shops, cinema and lots of other local attractions. It’s also central & allows great access to the rest of the Lake District. The staff are all very friendly and attentive. The hotel feels very luxurious & makes you feel very relaxed, it is spotlessly clean & the new loft room, that we were lucky to stay in was the best, amazing, with your own private steam room, sauna & a massive jet bath for 2, with a TV in the bathroom as well as the bedroom. All spaces are beautifully decorated. There is also a small gym, lovely pool & spa area - steam room, sauna, indoor jacuzzi & outdoor jacuzzi with massage jets. The bar & restaurant is lovely and also serves an amazing breakfast. All good and we look forward to staying again. Many Thanks

Don’t get me wrong, the room we stayed at wasn’t massive, basically a bed and a counter, fridge, kettle, but also had a bathroom with bath that had jet streams. Great view of the town, mountains and sunset. Has an on-site bar, spa, gym, pool, sauna and outside hydro therapy pool. We left the building one night to go get married, came back to a bottle of bubbly in a ice bucket with two glasses. Breakfast was a variety of hot and cold foods, cereal, cooked foods like a veggie breakfast. Staff where always polite, friendly and all smiles.

Fantastic stay, really warm and comfortable good sized room, ideal to come back to at the end of the day. Perfect location so everything in the village is only a couple of minutes walk.

Stayed for 2 nights this month and was more than happy with the hotel. The room was ok, don't think you could stay in it for a week but a couple of nights, perfect. Location was in the heart of the town and free car parking for one car. Breakfast was great, there were lots of choices, and I was even asked if I wanted another cooked meal. We only had an evening meal on one night, but that was good. Only one fault, and it was only small. We did ask for a 5 min break between starter and main, but it came straight away. Overall, the food service was great The spa, pool, etc. was clean and not busy Bar area was good, too Recommend you stsy

Great place to spend a relaxing weekend. Hot outdoors jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, and swimming pool . The food was good and the staff was very friendly. The hotel was very clean and cosy.

Beautiful hotel staff very nice and friendly. The rooms are beatiful and the views are great. We only had bed & breakfast, great variety and good cooked breakfast.

What a lovely hotel. Have passed it so many times over the years but decided to have a few days stay. Staff amazing and can't do enough for you, room very comfortable and decor throughout was really tasteful. Breakfast was the best we have ever had. Waiter service - staff were great. We both agreed that the quality was better than 5 star hotels we have stayed in. Bar area was extremely comfortable and lovely to sit & relax & have a drink after busy day. Spa area was superb and I was amazed as expected tiny pool so got surprise when went to have early swim. Wish we had more time to use facilities but now we've tried this hotel will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Best place to stay when visiting the lakes. I have stayed here many times in the past and absolutely love the hotel. Very friendly staff, always a very warm welcome. Know many of the staff. Great room very comfy. Excellent quality food for any time of the day. Highly recommended place to stay.
